How does the program work?
After being referred by yourphysician or choosing to begin the program by your own initiative, you will be scheduled for an initial consultation. At the initial consult, a full health history, health profile questionnaire, and work-up will be done by your Life Style Educator/RegisteredDietitian. You will also be given take home material to read.
Bio-impedance analysis (BIA) testing will be used throughout your program timeline. The BIA profiles your body composition and helps us track the changes happening in your body.
Lab draws obtained from your primary care physician will also be utilized, when possible, to tailor the program to your medical needs and track improvements in your blood panels.
Your LifeStyle Educator/Registered Dietitian will work with you throughout the program length to educate, motivate, and coach you through these permanent lifestyle changes. You will be focusing on low glycemic index foods, that will stabilize blood sugar, and Omega-3 fatty acids that improve insulin resistance and help alter body composition by improving cellular membrane integrity.
At the end of the program, you will be able to look at physical, “medical markers” to compare your health and wellness before and after the program.

Do people typically lose weight on this program?
Yes, weight loss will occur, but our primary focus is to make sure your weight changes are a decrease in fat mass and an increase in lean body mass and body cell mass.
The typical over-the-counter weight loss programs do end with some weight loss, but studies done by many medical associations have determined that their primary weight reductions are muscle and water loss because the program is not supported by the appropriate nutrients and medical guidelines.
Our goal is to alter your body composition, by improving things at the most basic cellular levels, thereby maximizing the way your body processes the fuel you put into it.
Keep in mind, this is not a weight loss program! It is a lifestyle change program, designed to make permanent changes to your health and overall wellness.
