ATX Nutrition believes strongly in the importance of nutrition in overall health. Chronic illness and disease plagues our American culture today, and costs hundreds of millions of dollars every year in healthcare expenses. We are more aware today than ever, that nutrition is a critical component of preventing and fighting these diseases. Foods can be a powerful force in our lives, and being correctly educated about nutrition and the way the human body functions can lead to better health and a preventative type of mind set. Our goal is to create relationships with clients, understand each individual's lifestyles, eating habits, and nutritional struggles in order to help you make educated and healthy choices when nourishing your body. There are many components to consider when using nutrition to improve health, and Registered Dietitians are professionals that can work alongside you in those endeavors. We are ready to begin a working relationship with you!
Our company began with Jenny Leman, a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in Austin, TX. When Jenny was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, it sparked an intense interest in nutrition, as her disease was mostly diet controlled. She pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin through the Coordinated Program in Dietetics and became a Registered Dietitian. Jenny has experience working as a clinical dietitian in acute care hospitals and long-term care facilities. She has participated in research and improving the Child Nutrition Programs in Austin area schools, and has a passion for family and child nutrition. Now, Jenny uses her expertise and interest to help others improve their quality of life through nutrition education and services.
Jenny Leman is FirstLine Therapy (R) certified. FirstLine Therapy (R) is now being offered as a service from ATX Nutrition. Click on the FirstLine Therapy (R) link on our homepage to read more about the program.
